Last Sunday, we went riding to Rumpa restaurant in Angeles, Pampanga. And everytime I ride through NLEX I always try to speed-up to the point that I am ahead of everyone else, because it feels like I just paid for an amusement park ride. However, going back to Manila, I decided to stay at pace with a fellow clubmate named Mon_G, he is the type of person who is inately good, well-mannered and a true person. Mon acknowledges that there is a supreme being but he doesn't have a relationship with God, meaning he doesn't pray, read the bible or go to church, but if deeds were the only means to get to heaven, then Mon, as far as I know is very qualified.
Upon reaching the long Pulilan bridge on our way back, smoke came from Mon's bike and conked out on the middle of the road. It was a hot sunny day and there were no shade in sight for at least 3kms., so I decided to push his bike which proved to be very difficult due to the fact that I am riding a sportbike and I have no good leverage to do it, plus Mon is about 240lbs. and his Aprilia is more than 400lbs., I had to stop for a break to catch my breath for at least 3 times before reaching the shade. We tried to find the problem to no avail, so we just called a friend to pick us up.
While waiting for help, Mon casually said to me how happy he is that God is working in my life, particularly putting me there to help him. I didn't know what to say, and all I said to him was it's because God loves you and maybe He wants you to talk to Him because He misses you.
Not long after, help arrived and we all went home, I was rushing to reach my place because it was already raining, and I am very tired. Off with my gears and resting, I suddenly had the urge to send Mon a text message that God wants him back in church, and that God will meet him anywhere he wants. But after doing this, I suddenly realized that I wasn't able to hear mass for several Sundays now, and the message was not just for Mon, but also for me! And so later that day I did, I hope Mon did too.
Sometimes, the messages we carry for others may also be intended for us, it's amazing how God can hit 2 birds with 1 stone accurately!
