Post your motorcycle modifications here for any information like cost, advantage, disadvantage, performance output, etc.
For the benefit of those who would like to have/do the same and not go through the painful realization or have a wonderful experience of the purchase or labor.

H.I.D.(Korean made), single contact, cost: P2,500 plus P500 installation. Perfect for pitch black dark roads, but not very good on lighted streets and rainy season--useless. Oncoming traffic on two-way streets will tend to dislike you. I had it installed on my 2000 SYM Shark125 last Oct. 2007, no problems since except for blown fuse due to water splash. You will also miss the high beam flasher, however there is an available H.I.D. with telescopic flasher for an additional cost of P2,000. My battery and rectifier is still in good condition as of this post.

Bridgestone Hoop B02 tires on my 2000 SYM Shark125, front:120/70R12 rear: 140/70R12. Tires work great, very sticky even when wet. I had to make my tires bigger to lift up my bike due to low position of center stand and pipes, I scratch them everytime I bank on curves. However, handling proved to be more heavy due to the thicker front tires and rear tires are not maximized even on maximum lean.

Some mods I've done... Off the shelf: Duro (Taiwan) tires serve me well so far. Cheap and they last long, with enough grip for my riding style... slow and easy. Not so off the shelf: Waterproof hardcase saddlebag made from Pelican waterproof case mounted on home-made bracket - suitable for carying laptop in all kinds of weather and protecting it against minor spills or bumps. Forward controls and shifter made from scrap metal - cheap yet classic chopper look. Straight pipes made from stainless steel weld-ons - again cheap, no rust, and loud. Alternative fuel valve made from 1/4" ball valve used on air compressors - Cheap, easy to replace, kinda looks cool. DIY paint job using rattle cans - Cheap, and you can change colors whenever you want to. Dual Gel Cell battery to replace regular wet-cell battery - Same cost as wet cell, lasts longer, charges better, gives more kick for starting, allows for creative battery mounting positions.

I cant even count my mods.... major ones - Duro rear tires (same comment as Carl's) Motolite battery for bikes - works great for up to about a year of service then dies. Cheap too. Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs - P190 each and so far works very well Diesel Engine oil - Vtwin runs cooler and feels the same 15watt halogen headlight bulb - cheap and not too bright but bright enough. Solves the problem of having a low charging current. Foam for BMX handlebar - works well as handle grips. Cheap too. Black rubber mat (the kind sold ng mga naglalako. Usually rolled up on their shoulder and used as floor mats on owner jeeps) - serves all sorts of things like thin seat foam, covers parts you don't wanna get wet, covers parts you don't want exposed, filler for loose body panels, mudguard, shoe pads, etc.

Cheap and effective!

Where do we get that? Never heard of it... It's the sealed lead acid gel battery that's normally used for UPS's and emergency lights that you can get at home depot.

And also, parts or brands that served me well. Yuasa batteries(expensive but long lasting--R6 batteries lasted for 5 years), Pirelli Super Corsa Pro (got them as ex-race and still good after 6 months and 1 trackday), NGK plugs (never failed me even on extreme speeds), TwoBrothers carbon fiber slip-on exhaust (took me to 269kph with the help of course of correct piping). VIC oil filters (reliable and cheap).

Mods done on my Airwolf:
Studded Seat Cover - good for banking but not so good on long rides...
Super white Headlight Bulbs - not as bright as HID but whiter than regular headlights. Fraction of the cost of HID bulbs, too.
Twin Horn - better sounding and louder than the factory horn
Otherwise, absolutely stock ang Scoot ko...
