Let me go first: John Chapter 6
John chapter 6 reminded me of how Jesus took me and made me his own. It show’s his willingness to save and protect us despite our inequities. In a number of instances he was doubted but still, he offered himself and everlasting life. God gave us grace through him as only by taking Jesus into our lives we will be saved forever.
Verse 35 says: “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst”. This struck me hard specially during these hard times. Sometimes, when we are uncertain of things that are happening we either blame or turn to God. Usually when wrong things happen we blame God for these things but in truth, God is there to guide us. Anything that happens to us happens for a reason, weather it be good or bad. If in everything we do we we ask the question, ‘how will this glorify the kingdom of God?’, we will be able to no doubt surpass whatever trials we encounter and grow stronger in the process, spiritually, mentally and sometimes even physically.
If there is one thing this chapter is telling me to do is believe is trust Jesus in whatever aspect of my life. The same way Jesus told Peter to come to him and walk on water. There is nothing impossible with Christ as long as we trust him wholeheartedly, even if by our standards it defies the laws of physics. Jesus went the extra mile in convincing us sinners to Believe, trust and have Faith in Salvation. From feeding thousands, walking on water, controlling the weather and even coming back from the dead! I guess if God is willing to go that far, I’m willing to dedicate my life and trust him to provide and take care of me. I want to as one of my friends put it “let go and let God”.
